On October 10, the 2024 “Ludaohongping” Online Comment Competition officially kicked off, publicly inviting original comment submissions with a chance to win prizes of up to 5,000 RMB.
According to the organizers, this competition aims to foster a deeper understanding of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, promote the contemporary mainstream narrative, disseminate positive energy, and enhance the online image of Xiamen as a city. The initiative is designed to create a favorable public opinion environment for the city’s high-quality development.
Hosted by the Xiamen Municipal Cyberspace Administration and organized by Xiamen Net, the competition has adopted the theme “Gathering New Voices, Pursuing Light Forward.” Entries are encouraged from three perspectives: “Exploring Xiamen, Witnessing Development,” “Observing Everyday Life,” and “Embracing New Trends Online.” Participants can focus on innovative practices and remarkable achievements across various fields, including economy, politics, culture, society, and ecological civilization, to explore the theoretical and practical logics behind Xiamen’s development. Additionally, they can highlight small stories reflecting social progress and improvements in people’s livelihoods, or discuss efforts to cultivate a clear online space by showcasing quality online content that meets the positive spiritual needs of netizens.
The submission period for the competition runs from October 21 to November 30, 2024, and both published and unpublished original works are eligible for entry.
To reward outstanding creations, the competition will present first, second, and third prizes, along with excellence awards. Specifically, there will be three first-place winners (each receiving 5,000 RMB), six second-place winners (each receiving 2,000 RMB), ten third-place winners (each receiving 1,000 RMB), and fifteen excellence awards (each receiving 500 RMB). The results will be announced on the competition’s official website.
During the submission period, participants can enter their works through the competition’s website (wpds.xmnn.cn) or via the submission email ([email protected]), following the format “Name + Title of the Work.” Each participant is allowed to submit no more than three entries.
