Professor Dong Tianlu, the President of Gad Financial, is offering a series of free seminars focused on retirement and trust inheritance strategies. These events provide a unique opportunity for attendees to navigate the complexities of financial planning. On Saturday, October 5th, he will host two sessions at the San Jose Country Inns—one at 10 AM and another at 2 PM. Additionally, there will be a third session on Sunday, October 6th, at 2 PM at the Foster City Community Center, Port Room. Participants can expect to gain insights into several vital strategies.
The first key area of focus will be income planning. Professor Dong’s aim is to equip attendees with legal strategies to potentially withdraw up to $200,000 in Social Security benefits. He will also discuss income planning that capitalizes on the benefits of preferred stock dividends, which can yield an impressive 8% annually—significantly higher than traditional annuity income. Furthermore, he’ll share ways families can navigate California’s new long-term care tax, thereby protecting their assets while still accessing long-term care benefits that can be utilized by both spouses and overseas.
In the second part of the seminar, attendees will learn how to develop investment strategies that can not only outpace inflation but also secure market performance during economic downturns.
Lastly, the sessions will delve into trust planning techniques specifically designed to safeguard assets against risks associated with divorce, bankruptcy, or litigation. This ensures that attendees’ descendants are protected from the complexities of estate probate.
Professor Dong, who teaches family legacy courses in the EMBA program, holds numerous prestigious credentials, including Enrolled Agent (EA) with the IRS, Accredited Estate Planner (AEP), Long-Term Care Consultant (LCTC), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He will draw on his extensive experience in estate planning and encourage attendees to engage in a question-and-answer segment.
