In a recent interview with Lisa Fjelstad, the president of Taylor Morrison Southern California, we discussed the exciting new residential developments in the Inland Empire, particularly the Oliva at Siena community in Riverside County.
Fjelstad highlighted that this project, featuring 157 townhouses, is part of the fourth phase of the Siena community theme planning and marks the last piece of developable land in the area. The homes are already on the market, with prices starting in the low $400,000s.
“The rapid growth in French Valley and nearby Temecula has drawn attention from residents in surrounding areas,” Fjelstad explained. “This community offers a prime location for outdoor activities, convenient transport, and excellent educational options. We’ve also incorporated thoughtfully designed recreational facilities within the neighborhood.”
The townhouses at Oliva at Siena come in four two-story models, ranging from 1,497 to 1,843 square feet, with three to four bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and a two-car garage. Additional features include family office spaces, upstairs laundry rooms, loft areas, and walk-in storage closets.
Beyond Oliva at Siena, Taylor Morrison’s overall development plan includes three other communities named Azul, Rosa, and Viola.
Turning our attention to San Bernardino County, we also explored the newly developed Canyon Ranch community, which is being constructed by Trumark Homes. This neighborhood will feature 153 single-family homes located near Loma Linda and Redlands.
Richard Douglass, president of Trumark Homes Southern California, mentioned that this upscale residential area includes homes ranging from 2,100 to 4,000 square feet, with 116 homes built on lots of 20,000 square feet or larger.
“The Canyon Ranch development provides spacious lots, creating unique opportunities for high-end outdoor living spaces, complete with swimming pools and yards that help ensure resident privacy,” Douglass said.
Canyon Ranch spans 64 acres and includes 153 lots, with 126 situated in Loma Linda and 27 in Redlands. Historically, this land was a family-run citrus farm that is now being redeveloped into large estates and carefully designed 7,200 square-foot parcels. Its prime location facilitates access to significant employment centers in San Bernardino, including nearby universities and medical facilities, with convenient routes via the 10, 215, and 91 freeways, making commuting to Riverside, Los Angeles, and Orange County straightforward.
Both developments reflect the ongoing growth and evolving needs of residents in Southern California’s Inland Empire, merging modern living with access to natural beauty and community amenities.
