San Diego Youth Cultural Ambassador Campus Showcases Taiwan’s Charm_1

On October 20th, the Design39 Campus in San Diego hosted a vibrant cultural festival where the FASCA San Diego chapter, as youth cultural ambassadors, enthusiastically showcased Taiwanese culture. This event was a celebration of multiculturalism, with FASCA-SD serving as a proud representative of Taiwan’s rich traditions and heritage.

At the booth set up by Taiwanese parents, visitors were treated to a variety of popular Taiwanese snacks and bubble tea, which quickly drew in a crowd of eager participants. Beyond the delicious food, FASCA-SD showcased traditional Taiwanese children’s games, allowing visitors to engage in delightful hands-on experiences. Both children and adults eagerly participated in activities such as diabolo, shuttlecock kicking, and marbles, gaining a deeper appreciation for the joy of Taiwanese playtime through their own experiences.

Consultant Liu Jingjuan highlighted that the cultural festival provided an excellent platform for FASCA-SD’s youth cultural ambassadors to practice cultural exchange. Activities like diabolo and shuttlecock kicking offered the local community a fun and meaningful way to connect with Taiwanese culture. It was heartwarming to see these young ambassadors not only learning about their heritage but also actively sharing it with others.

The FASCA youth cultural ambassadors carry the mission of cultural diplomacy, promoting Taiwan’s rich traditions and culture through leadership and service, thereby enhancing connections and interactions within the Taiwanese-American community. Through these engaging and enjoyable activities, FASCA successfully fostered an atmosphere of learning and cultural sharing, reflecting their core values of leadership and service while leaving a lasting impression on participants and sparking their appreciation and admiration for Taiwanese culture.
