The event unfolded in front of Temple City Hall and along Las Tunas Drive, attracting large crowds and featuring the presence of several elected officials who came to honor the Mid-Autumn Festival.
In her opening remarks, World Journal President Yu Zhiqin spotlighted the festival’s diverse offerings. With over 70 unique booths, a lantern painting area, a photo op zone, a special lantern display wall, and an outdoor movie section, there was something for everyone. The main stage boasted a variety of performances throughout the day, culminating in an evening mooncake sharing event and a live lottery, creating a joyful atmosphere for all attendees.

Assemblymember Fong highlighted the significance of the recently passed SB 1354 bill, which acknowledges the contributions of the Asian Pacific Islander community to California and the nation; he remarked that events like this foster community bonds and help preserve Asian Pacific heritage.
