Forbes recently unveiled its “2024 Best Employers” list, featuring 14 Taiwanese companies, including Cathay Financial Holding, which stands out as the only firm from Taiwan to make the top 100. Microsoft clinched the number one spot this year, followed by Alphabet, Google’s parent company, in second place, while South Korea’s Samsung Electronics dropped to third after holding the top position for four consecutive years.
This ranking highlights the top-scoring 850 companies worldwide, with a remarkable achievement from Microsoft as it continues to shine. Other notable companies in the top ten include Adobe, BMW, Delta Air Lines, Airbus, IKEA, LEGO Group, and IBM. Meanwhile, Apple and Nvidia secured the 15th and 22nd spots, respectively.
Among the Taiwan-based companies, Cathay Financial Holding leads the way at number 75, making it the sole representative from the island in the top 100. Asus and MSI followed, ranking 183rd and 197th, while TSMC came in at 218. Other Taiwanese firms that made the list include Acer, Delta Electronics, MediaTek, CTBC Financial, Lite-On Technology, Zyxel Technologies, Advantech, UMC, Aeris Computer, and ASE Group.
This prestigious ranking was conducted in collaboration with Statista, a German research firm. The survey evaluated over 300,000 employees across more than 50 countries, focusing on companies with at least 1,000 employees and operations spanning at least two continents. Factors assessed included salary, human resource development, remote work options, and the likelihood of employees recommending their employers to friends and family.
