American Datang Association’s new responsibilities are announced

On the evening of August 22, the American Tang Association gathered for its fifth general meeting at the Palace Restaurant in Sacramento, California. This event not only introduced the new board of directors but also sparked extensive discussions regarding the upcoming celebration of China’s 75th National Day.

Leading the meeting was Peng Delong, a co-founder and the newly elected chair of the board. He outlined the new leadership structure and shared the organization’s vision for development in this new era. Liang Xingdong, another co-founder and board chairman, also addressed the attendees, reminiscing about the association’s founding journey and commending the dedication and contributions of former board members.

The attendees expressed their collective commitment to unite under Chair Peng Delong’s leadership, underscoring the core principle of “embracing all rivers; one family under the Chinese culture.” They pledged to uphold and promote the organization’s remarkable traditions and values, collaborating to achieve shared goals and usher in a new chapter of success.

As a key representative of the overseas Chinese community in the Sacramento area, the Tang Association is poised to take a leading role in the upcoming National Day celebrations. The meeting included detailed discussions around mobilization and task assignments for the event, which is set for September 20, ensuring its execution is a success.

Several founding elders, including Ye Jiansheng, Yu Bosheng, Zhang Wengui, Tang Guanglie, and Chen Dianli, were in attendance. Former chair Lü Guande was named honorary chair, further strengthening the association’s unity and influence. The successful conclusion of this meeting marks a significant milestone for the American Tang Association as it embarks on a promising new journey.
