World Food Day- Nu Skin sows seeds of love and hope with VitaMeal nourishment program

On October 16, World Food Day, this year’s theme is “Food Security for All: Building Better Lives Together for a Brighter Future.” As a company committed to philanthropy, Nu Skin Group is actively contributing valuable nutrition and support to children around the world through its “Meals for Kids Nourishment Program.” In honor of World Food Day, Nu Skin Group is calling on all employees and franchise teams to unite in their efforts to improve children’s nutritional status.

Since 2002, Nu Skin has collaborated with its global business partners, customers, and employees to launch and promote the “Meals for Kids Nourishment Program.” This initiative not only exemplifies Nu Skin’s commitment to social responsibility but also showcases its global perspective and humanitarian focus as a multinational corporation.

The Meals for Kids product, developed in partnership with renowned child nutrition experts, not only provides sufficient calories but is also rich in essential vitamins and minerals. As of July 2024, Nu Skin’s statistics reveal that the Nourishment Program has delivered food donations to over 65 countries, totaling more than 850 million meals. In mainland China, since entering the market in 2003, Nu Skin has actively partnered with organizations such as the China Disabled Persons’ Welfare Foundation and the China Children and Teenagers’ Fund, donating a total of 89 million meals, benefiting over 1.86 million children across more than 30 provinces and regions.

Nu Skin’s commitment to the cycle of giving and the philosophy of “teaching fishing, ongoing kindness, and widespread participation” drives its mission to spread the power of goodwill worldwide. A single meal not only fills a child’s stomach but also fosters a cycle of kindness and paves the way for a brighter future.

The Meals for Kids Nourishment Program is more than just a food donation initiative; it also integrates education and production to break the cycle of poverty in struggling communities. By providing meals at schools, the program encourages local children to pursue education, addressing both hunger and offering them opportunities to change their destinies. Nu Skin understands that enabling children to receive quality education is key to helping them become self-sufficient and escape the grip of poverty.

Nu Skin Group’s President and CEO, Ritch N. Hwin, shared, “Over 20 years ago, when we launched the Meals for Kids Nourishment Program, we could not have foreseen the profound impact it would have on so many children. Today, we take immense pride in providing 850 million meals to malnourished children around the world, which is a testament to the collective power of goodwill from our business partners, customers, and employees.”

On this special day, World Food Day, Nu Skin Group reiterates its call for global attention to the issues of child hunger and malnutrition, urging everyone to work collectively towards creating a better world. Nu Skin Group will continue its commitment through the Meals for Kids Nourishment Program and other philanthropic activities, striving to enhance the health and well-being of children worldwide, ensuring that more children have a hopeful and healthy tomorrow.
